Botswana

With its intricate set of waterways forming a vast, fertile wildlife habitat you won’t find anywhere else on the planet, it’s no surprise that Botswana’s Okavango Delta is one of the natural wonders of the world.

What keeps the Okavango so unspoilt is that you can’t realistically drive there – the roads are treacherous and long and take days to traverse. By flying in and out of the Delta, you’ll be instantly transported to a maze of sparkling lagoons, roaming channels and overgrown islands, all offering incredible interactions with water-related wildlife. The Delta is actually a flood plain oasis in the middle of the Kalahari desert, which makes it all the more amazing that such rich diversity is present in the middle of such a dry stretch of land.

To the North, the Chobe River has the highest concentration of elephants in the world. Nearby, the Makgadigadi salt pans are known for their flamingos, meerkats and mini zebra migrations – this is a completely dynamic and diverse country that’s a must visit in Africa.
